Job Description

Position Description: 

We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Contract Administration to join our Infrastructure and Environment Division, based out of the Thornhill office. Reporting to the Contract Administration Manager, this position will be responsible for the field review of the construction of water and sewage pumping stations, tunneling and other trenchless construction as well as large diameter water transmission mains, and large diameter collector sewer projects.  You will liaison with municipalities and contractors on constructability reviews, quality assurance, resolving construction disputes. 


Job Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties: 

•Inspection and review of the construction of water and sewage pumping stations, tunneling, sewers, water mains, roads and road restoration

•Quantity measurements and preparation of payment certifications

•Written and photographic record keeping and liaison with the contractor, client, and Municipal officials

•Familiarity with current traffic control regulations is required 

Qualifications:

 •P.Eng. or CET designation with 7-10 years of Contract Administration and Site Inspection experience on large civil projects

•Experienced in project planning, risk management, cost management, schedule management and contract negotiations.

•Minimum 7 years' experience in the field of inspection of Municipal Engineering works with a preference in experience with the construction of water and/or sewage pumping stations, wastewater treatment facilities, trenchless construction, large diameter water transmission mains and large collector sewers

•Familiarity with sewer, water main and road construction materials, methods and processes

•Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications

•Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team

•Computer skills including word, excel, windows applications
